13U & 14U Championship Brackets Update - due to the latest bout of weather that came through over the past 2 hours all games have been cancelled for today & will not be played. Team awards will be distributed based on the best seeded team in the Playoff bracket. Teams that would have played @ 2:15PM (13U) and 2:00PM & 4:15PM (14U) can pick up their awards at the Embassy Suites La Vista - Gatsby Room which is the site of Team Check in.

Championship Bracket Update - Council Bluffs ONLY
** We have confirmed the following game times at Council Bluffs (Weather permitting).
Please see below:
** 13U Championship Bracket - Games will start at Noon. Note: Games will be played on Field Field #4 instead of Field #3.
** 14U Championship Brackets - Games will now start at 2PM. Upper Bracket game first & Lower Bracket game immediately thereafter.
The reason for the 2 hour delay is that the 14U is being played on a grass infield and is not taking water as well as the Skin Infield on Field #3. As a result more work is being done on Field 8 to get it playable.

Championship Bracket Update!!!!
11U/12U Upper & Lower Championship Brackets - all games have been moved from Council Bluffs to Westchester with games starting at 11AM. Games will be played with normal game times (1 hour 45 minutes - no new inning).

13U - All Championship Bracket games will be played at Council Bluffs Field #3 with games starting at Noon. Games will be played with normal game times (2 hours - no new inning).
14U - Upper & Lower Bracket Championship games will be played at Council Bluffs Field #8. The Upper Championship (Game B12) will be played at Noon, The Lower Championship (Game B14) will be played at 2:15 PM.

Please keep in mind that we have now had close to 6 inches of rain over the past 4 days and the Fields are still quite wet. So we are hopeful that we have no additional weather this morning and we can start at Noon. We will provide a final update at 10AM on the playability at Council Bluffs only but at this time please plan on Noon starts at Council Bluffs.

All Consolation bracket games in all divisions have been cancelled for the day due to the continuous rain over the past 4 days.
We are going to do our best to play out the Championship Brackets in all age groups. It is currently raining at Council Bluffs. We will not be able to assess field playability for the Championship Brackets until the rain stops.

Next weather post will be at 8AM.

Tuesday June 19th:
9:00AM
The Fields at Council Bluffs will not be ready by Noon. All games at Council Bluffs will now start at 2PM due to the additional rain this morning.
La Vista is still on for an 11AM start.

As a reminder, the first CWS game today (Game 6) Mississippi State vs North Carolina will start at 10AM today. Game 7 (Florida/Texas) will be played 65 minutes after the conclusion of Game 6. Arkansas/Texas Tech (Game 8) will be played at 6PM tonight or 65 minutes after the conclusion of Game 7.

The 10 AM CWS game might be a good opportunity for your team to attend being we are in a weather delay.

8:00AM
The Greater Omaha area received 3 inches of rain in the last 24 hours. Fields are being worked on as we speak. Below are the start times per age group:
11U/12U - games are scheduled to start at Noon at Council Bluffs
13U - games are scheduled to start at Noon at Council Bluffs
14U Upper Division - games are scheduled to start at Noon at Council Bluffs
14U Lower Division - games have been moved to La Vista Sports Complex Field # 1 with a scheduled start time of 11AM.
Because of the weather the 13U & 14U brackets will be played today with 1 hour 45 minute time limits (No new inning). 11U/12U game times remain the same.

Due to the inclement weather last night all games have been delayed this morning. We are currently working with our field crews to assess playability as well as look at alternate facilities. We will provide another weather update no later than 8AM.

Monday June 18th:
6:50PM
Playoff brackets for all groups are now "live" on the website. The overnight forecasts are potentially calling for more rain potentially heavy at times. If this were to happen there is a high probability that games could be starting later than what is currently indicated on your brackets. We will be working closely with our facility partners to assess field conditions early in the morning. Please check our website for an early morning weather post prior to departing for your first game.

5:10PM
The remaining 14U games that were in a rain delay at Council Bluffs are done for the day. We are in the process of making a decision on how we will be advancing teams into the playoff bracket. Stay tuned for another weather post in 1 hour and with additional information.

The 13U division has been completed and we are beginning the seeding process.

All 13U & 14U Coaches please check your game scores for the day one final time as any discrepancies will affect the seeding of teams.

Council Bluffs is currently in a rain delay. As a result, the posting of bracket play is going to be delayed in the 13U &14U Divisions as we wait for those final games to be completed. Thank you for your patience.

14u teams are required to swing -3 BBCOR bats during the event.

Three (or more) Way Tie
1. Head to Head (if sweep)
2. Total Run differential
3. Runs Allowed

RA=Runs Allowed
RS=Runs Scored
LAD=Last Actual Differential

IMPORTANT: Run differential maximum
1. Forfeits will be scored 7-0
2. Maximum run spread per game is 7 regardless of score.

Note: When 3 or more teams are tied and there is not a common opponent amongst all tied teams, run differential is the first tie breaker.
Ties will be counted as a .5 win and .5 loss.

Pool Protection in Bracket Play:
When seeding teams for the playoffs, if 2 teams have previously played each other in Pool Play (ie: 2 teams from the "A" pool) then we will Pool Protect. This means we will provide both teams with a new opponent from a different pool (ie: "B" pool) for their first playoff game. For example, in an 8 team playoff bracket the #1 Seed would normally play the #8 Seed. However, if the #8 Seed is from the same Pool then we would flip the #7 seed with the # 8 seed so that the #1 seed would play an opponent from a different Pool (ie: "B" pool).
