Competition with Civility Code of Conduct
Agape Hoops is establishing specific Competition with Civility Code of Conduct guidelines to help ensure we have a safe, positive, healthy environment for our student athletes, and all involved in youth sports at our events.
Parents: Your paid admission and entry into this Agape Hoops tournament stipulates you agree with the following Competition with Civility Code of Conduct. Not adhering to this agreement could lead to forfeiting your admission and leaving the premises or forfeit of your team’s game.
Coaches: Your participation in this Agape Hoops event stipulates you agree with the following Competition with Civility Code of Conduct. Not adhering to this agreement could lead to games forfeited, or having parents removed from the game so only players are in the gym to complete the competition.
• I will cheer on (or coach) my child & team
• I will not berate, belittle, or act unsportsmanlike toward opposing team, players, parents, coaches, or fans
• I will not berate, belittle, or bully referees before, during or after games. I will respect they have a job to do, and I will file any complaints & compliments with Agape Hoops staff.
• I will not approach referees during their breaks while on the court or outside of the building
• If at anytime I have a complaint, or feel frustrations overwhelm me I will count to 5 before I speak and take a cool off walk and then approach the Agape Hoops staff.
If fan/coach/team conduct does not comply with this agreement or presents itself in what is determined as unsportsmanlike conduct by our Agape Hoops Staff, after one warning our staff can forfeit the game or ask or fans/parents to leave the building while the game continues if conduct persists.
Thanks for your cooperation-Agape Hoops
