2021 King of the Hill QualifierGames may start early at a min 15 minutes - please be prepared.POOL GAMES' RULESNFHS rules apply except for the following:1. A Coin toss will be conducted at Home Plate to determine the Home/Visitor team.2. Pool games are 90 minutes finish inning. Ties allowed.A Pool Game may end sooner than 90 minutes if the Run Ahead Rule is invoked (10 after 4, 8 after 5, 6 after 6).3. Teams may bat 9 players, any number of players, or utilize a continuous batting order. 4. Free Defensive Substitutions are allowed.5. Courtesy Runner for pitcher/catcher. Will be last batter due up if using continuous batting, or eligible sub if batting less than line-up.6. Pitching Rules. It is not the intent to call multiple illegal pitches, but rather use this event as an opportunity for correctable instruction.7. Jewelry is permitted unless deemed dangerous by the umpires, in which case it shall be removed.8. This is a NON-Protest event. Umpires decision on field is final.9. SEEDING: Pool play results determine seeding into the single elimination bracket. Teams will receive two points for a win, one point for a tie and no points for a loss. If pool play results in a tie, pool standing will be determined by: a) head to head results between tied teams. When more than two teams tie, head-to-head will be used only if one team has beaten all other tied teams or one team has lost to all other tied teams; b) run differential; c) fewest runs allowed in all pool games; d) a coin flip. When more than two teams tie, after a team is selected during any step, the tiebreaker reverts back to step a) to select the next team. Bracket Games will be 7 innings, ITB if tied after 7. A Bracket Game may end sooner than 7 innings if the Run Ahead Rule is invoked (10 after 4, 8 after 5, 6 after 6).3. The Tie Breaker Rule will be employed if the score is tied after the conditions of Rule 2 above are satisfied. The runner placed on 2nd Base will be the last player to have completed her turn at bat in the previous inning.4. Pitching Rules. FORFEIT TIME: Game time is forfeit time, unless a team is held up by a late-running game.
