2024 20th Annual Vernon Hills Cougar Kickoff "A-Team" Tournament (5/2/24 - 5/5/24)
Come to Vernon Hills to play at one of the best baseball facilities in the Midwest. We are limiting the number of teams at each age group to 9 total teams including teams from the Vernon Hills travel program. For registrations to be considered complete, payment must be turned in within 7 days of registration. Registrations and payment will be processed based on the order in which online registrations are completed. If we receive more interest than the 9 spots available at a particular age group, we will start a wait list. NOTE: This tournament is open to community & club based first tier travel programs (i.e. "A-Teams") or towns sharing the same high school that play in a community based "A" league or below. No elite teams and/or tournament only teams will be allowed, YOU MUST PLAY IN A LEAGUE (i.e., LSFBL, MSBL, WSBL, KCBL, & etc.). If you sign up as an “A-Team” and decide to play in an elite or tournament only league after you sign up, it is your responsibility to contact VHTournament@vhcbs.com in order to receive a refund minus the admin fee. If VHCBS discovers your team is playing in an elite league or only tournaments, your team will be removed from the tournament and no refund will be awarded. The Cougar Kick-Off provides the best competitive play to area towns and border states that run community-based programs. Please click on the documents button below for the complete tournament rules. By registering for our tournament, you are agreeing with the rules that have been presented.

- Individual Trophies for 1st and 2nd place teams (max 12)
- The fields have dugouts, (most) grass infields, scoreboards and lights.
- Certified umpires officiate each game.
- Onsite restrooms
- Tournament game schedule posted no later than 4 days before start of the tournament.
- Please bring copies of birth certificates for your roster. They will be reviewed if a discrepancy exists. Upon request, teams must prove they are not an elite team, or they will not be allowed to advance to the playoffs.
- Coaches must provide waivers and rosters at the due date that they are requested by the tournament director, or their team is subject to removal from the tournament.
- No charge for admission.
- All games will be played at the Vernon Hills Athletic Complex.
- Tournament Central will be located at the gazebo by fields 1-4.
- Updated tournament results and weather updates will be handled through Tourney Machine.
- All tournament correspondence will be done via Tourney Machine app. Please instruct parents to download the tourney machine app.
- Trophy Presentation will take place after the championship game on the field.
- No Smoking

Refund Policy:
If tourney is canceled for any reason before any of the games have been played, then a FULL refund will be issued minus a $75 service fee. If only one game is started, then a $200 refund will be issued. If two games or more are started, no refunds will be issued for any reason.

NOTE: IF ANY TEAM WITHDRAWS AFTER REGISTRATION HAS BEEN CONFIRMED AND PAYMENT HAS BEEN MADE, NO REFUND WILL BE GIVEN.
